This was my first attempt at running the 135 mile footrace across Death Valley in the Mojave Desert. Temps reached 124F degrees the first day near Stovepipe Wells and the humidity was way above normal for that region. I suffered from a lot of heat exhaustion and nausea the first day and night but still managed to meet my goal of a sub-48 hour finish (47:09)!!! What a great challenge.
