I have worked with a lady that came off the HCG "Diet". It was an interesting ride... Here is a recap...
She lost 23lbs in here six week program. She was "100%" with her 500 cals a day and when she went on her prescribed 900 calorie “maintenance” program. She wasn’t dropping any more weight and became frustrated and her husband called me.
She came in and weighed 204 lbs and was 41% body fat. I started her first week at 1000 calories(unacceptably low). She worked out 6 days doing cardio and weights (she didn’t work out on the HCG “diet” other than a walk here and there). She came back after her first week and low and behold she gained 5 lbs.
Her metabolism was virtually non existent. I dropped her calories to 925 and increased her weight training. I put her on an ultra low carb menu (29% carbs). She dropped 8lbs the next week.
She began dropping fat at a good steady rate. I slowly increased her calories and her carbs as her body would allow. It took us 13 weeks to get her up to 1300 calories and 45% carbs. Over her 12 week program she burned 30lbs on the scale of which 29.58 was pure FAT.
